The Griffin

Situated on the corner of Brook Road South and Braemar Road, The Griffin is a cherished Brentford pub with deep roots in the local community. Established in 1883, it served as the first clubhouse and changing room for Brentford Football Club. The pub is one of the few remaining from the quartet that famously stood on each corner of the former Griffin Park stadium.

Renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and historic charm, The Griffin has featured in films like Green Street and Bohemian Rhapsody. Its award-winning patio garden offers a perfect spot for sunny afternoons, while the interior provides a cozy setting for enjoying a selection of well-kept ales, including Fuller’s London Pride.

Under the guidance of former Waldorf Astoria chef Gerhard, the kitchen serves up high-quality dishes, with the Sunday roast being a local favorite. Whether you’re a football fan, a film enthusiast, or simply seeking a traditional pub experience, The Griffin stands as a testament to Brentford’s rich heritage and community spirit.
