The Brentford Project

The Brentford Project is a major new mixed‑use scheme on the riverside in the heart of Brentford. Led by Ballymore, the project is transforming a roughly 4.8‑hectare site where the River Brent meets the Thames into a vibrant town‑centre quarter combining homes, shops, leisure and community spaces.

At its core is the creation of 876 new residential units set around restored historic buildings, landscaped public areas, and a reconnected high street that runs down to the water’s edge. Plans include around 14,000 m² of retail space, leisure venues such as an Everyman cinema, cafés, and cultural amenities, with pubs and restaurants including Sam’s Waterside and Rottura contributing to a lively waterfront scene.

The design philosophy brings heritage and modernity together: historic structures like the Grade II*‑listed St Lawrence’s Church are being repurposed as community and cultural hubs, while new architecture by leading London practices embraces the riverside setting. The development also extends riverside paths and public realm improvements to knit the area more closely into Brentford’s existing urban fabric.

Construction is ongoing, with phased delivery underway and full completion expected by around 2027/28.
