Brentford FC

Brentford FC is a professional football club based near Kew Bridge Station on the edge of Golden Mile London. Founded in 1889, the club is nicknamed ‘The Bees’ and competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football — a status it has held since its first promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

Brentford plays its home games at the Gtech Community Stadium, an intimate 17,250-capacity ground that opened in 2020 after the club moved from its historic former home at Griffin Park (used from 1904 to 2020). Since reaching the Premier League, Brentford has become known for an analytic, data-driven recruitment strategy and progressive football philosophy, enabling it to compete with clubs of much bigger budgets.

Off the pitch, Brentford FC places a strong emphasis on community engagement and charitable partnerships, with its Community Sports Trust and more recent ‘Heart of West London’ initiative to improve cardiovascular health awareness and screening across the local area.

In the 2025-26 season, under manager Keith Andrews, Brentford are enjoying one of their strongest Premier League campaigns, blending emerging talent with tactical ambition in domestic leagues and cup competitions.

The club’s story — from a late-19th-century local team to an established Premier League side with a modern stadium and global following — reflects both deep community roots in West London and a distinct competitive identity within English football.
