It anchors £5billion GVA and, intertwined with hundreds of acres of green space, which is already one of the world’s largest creative tech innovation districts.

“Golden Mile London is amongst the most exciting projects happening in the Capital. The 450-acre zone is already one the largest creative districts in the City with a turnover more than half all the other creative enterprise zones put together. The new Vision has brought together local Government, business and developers to build on the 100-year legacy of future facing enterprise to establish the Golden Mile as the World’s leading Creative Technology Innovation District and become a great place to live and work.”

SEVEN VISION PRINCIPLES

Seven vision principles are used to breakdown complexity and provide clear pathways for delivering on the Vision Proposition:

WHAT IS CREATIVE TECH?

Creative Technology (CreaTech) refers to the convergence of the creative industries and advanced technology—businesses and practices that use technology to create, distribute, or enhance creative content and experiences.

Creative Tech is highlighted in UK Government Industrial Strategy and actively promoted by GLA Creative Economy/CEZ Strategy. Typical categories include:
• Immersive & Experiential Technologies
• Digital Content & Media Innovation
• Creative AI, Data & Generative Tools
• Design, Fashion & Physical-Digital Innovation

A PART OF WESTTECH LONDON

As Golden Mile London is now being nurtured using an Innovation District approach it will play a stronger role within WestTech London, and benefit from the talent pools, collaborative networks and supply chains that exist across this geography. WestTech London is…

• A series of emerging Innovation Districts including White City (Life Sciences/AI), Paddington (Life Sciences), Old Oak (Science & Deep Tech) and now Golden Mile London (Creative Tech).
• These are set within more advanced Opportunity Areas, delivering new homes and commercial real estate.

This wider geography includes new, transformational public transport infrastructure (Elizabeth Line/HS2) as well as a significant Underground Network. A new ‘West London Orbital’ railway, repurposing an existing freight line, will be the catalyst for Golden Mile London achieving easy access to the Elizabeth Line, GWR and HS2.
